I certainly love their food and customer service, awesome location very close to my home. The staff members are always friendly. I highly recommend this place.

Lived in Boston my whole life and would consider fish and chips on of my favorite meals. Steamers cooks it up PERFECTLY, fish is juicy,seasoning is great as are the fix ins.

The clam chowder was cold and there is not much clam in there. The lobster roll is humongous but is very bland tasting. Good value but very average taste wise

Last summer my family and I moved back to Mass after a 4-year stint in the Midwest. A month or two ago we stopped by Steamers for dinner, which we haven't done since 2014. After dinner we bought some fresh salmon and halibut to cook at home. We ordered a few lobster rolls, clam chowders, as well as scallop and haddock dinners. Everyone enjoyed the food, and it was pretty clear the prepared options were just as fresh as the fish out front, both being delicious. We are impressed with the menu and can't wait to go back to try more. I've owned a small restaurant, and I know that keeping the menu simple and consistent allows Steamers to focus on quality. Many other places instead focus on filling up the menu with options few people even want. This is often at the expense of freshness and efficiency. Steamers does not fall into this trap. While there are plenty of lunch and dinner options, you can be sure that everything you order is fresh and always made-to-order.

Wasn't anything spectacular. Nice staff. Tiny dining area. Good lobster rolls.

Dominic the owner is incredible!! Ordered three lobsters the other day they were delicious!!! Didn't even need butter. If you are looking for great food and service in hurry, you can not beat Steamers!!!

Great local seafood market. I was looking for dry scallops and this is one of the few places in town that sells them like that. Turns out they have a bunch of other great items, and their food is pretty tasty too. The lobster rolls are great, and I got some trout croquettes that were on special and they were amazing! Mussels are always reasonable, although sometimes lobster is cheaper at the big stores, but for all your other needs Steamer's is great.

Best lobster roll in town. Period. The lobster roll is cold roll not hot.

Lobster roll was decent for the price. Not much meat in the clam strips or the crab cakes. They were fast and courteous, but I probably won't go back.

I'm so glad to have this place nearby! I've had lobster rolls all over New England and I don't think any place tops Steamers. Plus, the fries are always perfectly done.

Fresh delicious fish

A wonderful market/seafood restaurant. You’ll be surprised at how fresh and amazing the food is. The quality of the food screams five star restaurant, but it is a casual place perfect for groups, kids, and lunch. It really is the best of both worlds. The prices are very reasonable and the people who work here are incredibly great people. Support mom and pop shops and come to steamers. You won’t be sorry.

I've been eating at Steamers for three years now, I've sampled a good portion of their menu. I can say with great confidence that all the food here is excellent. Everything is fresh, ingredients are high quality and prepared properly. Needless to say the seafood options are top notch, and even their chicken sandwiches are the best offered in the Nonantum area. Today I had the great pleasure of eating their famous lobster roll. It was off the charts delicious. Easily 50% bigger then any lobster roll you've ever had and served on a real brioche style bulkie roll. Just the right amount of dressing and served at the proper temperature. Simple, delicious lobster roll. This place is, and continues to be, my favorite go-to lunch spot when i want a great, fresh lunch.

This place is a hidden gem. They have the best lobster rolls in town. We get fresh fish from them every Saturday and it is SO great. Marissa is always super knowledgeable about what they have in that day and makes great recommendations. Her dad picks out the fish in the morning at the local docks. It is amazing the difference it makes in the taste of the fish getting it from there instead of say Whole Foods. It is so much better at Steamers. All of the staff are very nice. If you are looking for fresh fish and live lobsters, fish and chips, or lobster rolls, this is the place!

Cool seafood spot in Nonantum. A great place to go for fish and lunch (they have some seating available). The staff is very friendly and the food was ready quick. Great option if you’re in the mood for fried foods in Newton.

We had a lobster roll and a whole clam plate with fries. Everything was fresh, and delicious, service was friendly, the fries were crispy and golden, and in addition to the food service there was fresh fish and seafood for sale that looked amazing for fair prices. A few regulars came in while we were there. Would recommend.

I'm from Seattle and had the pleasure of finding this place while in Waltham for business. If you like Seafood and a small market feel, this is the place for you. The friendly, easygoing atmosphere was a great way to end the day.

Just had the lobster roll and have to say it was worth the price. It was filled with whole claws, and tail, and very light on the mayo. No fillers. All I could taste was lobster. The Fried shrimp was perfectly cooked. i wish i took a picture, but we ate it all too fast! Give it a try. It's worth it.

High quality ingredients for reasonable prices. The owner is typically who runs the counter and is a great guy. He is very knowledgeable and happy to trim up a fish however you need it. The selection varies based on what he can get but it's all been very good. They also make their own lobster rolls and other cooked seafood plates so it's good for takeout, although I'd recommend it more for the raw seafood than their own cooked food. It's my go to place for local fresh seafood to bring home to cook in the area for sure!

Great hideaway with very reasonable seafood cooked to order. Better quality than many places that are twice the price. Haven't bought any fish to take home, but it's fairly priced and looks good.

Ok food. Not as great of takeout experience as Captain Marden’s.

Wouldn't recommend the scampi. just a box full of flavorless spaghetti with like 4 scallops in it. the fried food is much better.

I really like this place. Total small mom and pop type of place. The fried clams for very good and they also have grilled fish which I will definitely be back for. I'm not in this part of town too often but I will definitely be back as soon as I can.

Delicious food, the owners and absolute sweetheart, will definitely be going back. For a small place with no bathroom do they make some damn good seafood. Great for takeout

Just went for the first time. My sister in laws are in from Chicago and Michigan and they're raving about how great it is. Everything is super fresh and delicious. Lobster rolls are HUGE and well worth the price. Highly recommended!!

Having come from NC, we were looking for some great NE seafood and found this place on Google. Walking though the front door you get the expectation that this is a normal seafood shop but it's far more than that! The lobster roll (get it toasted and buttered) and the shrimp and scallop plate were amazing! Kudos to this family run business and know that if we ever are in the area again we will be back! Really awesome place! Husband placed a takeout order for a family party and the food was out of this world. Lobster rolls, swordfish dinner, clams, and shrimp scampi were so fresh and tasty. Prices reasonable and the customer service was excellent. You can tell everything is made fresh to order, from the fries to the grilled dinners. All of the food was hot and so fresh, This place deserves more than 5 stars. This is now my favorite takeout place

Delicious local seafood. The fresh fish is amazing. The fried clams were a bargain and they went great with the fries, rings, coleslaw and tarter sauce. Next time we’re getting steamed lobsters and steamers. The other table had it and it looked wonderful.

Great Fried Seafood!!!!! Went back the next day for some to go for the ride back to NY. Fresh, crispy and perfectly cooked.

This is by far the greatest seafood establishment I’ve ever been to. The fish out front is really fresh. The prepared dinners and lunches are awesome, too. The lobster roll is a must and the Cajun Tuna was really tasty. The people who work here are very nice and helpful and it’s a family-run store. I’m really happy I found this place
